Bill Hamilton Bill Hamilton joined the Dekan Advisory Board in February 2009. For the past six years Billy has been serving customers in the Telecommunications Industry. As a Director of Sales his sole responsibility was to develop and retain a base of clients by delivering outstanding customer service combined with an in depth knowledge of products and solutions. Billy is a 2003 graduate of Eastern Illinois University where he earned a BA in Marketing. He attended Glenbard West High School in Glen Ellyn, Illinois where he competed in Gymnastics, Track & Field, Football, and Wrestling. He was a member of the 1996 State Champion Gymnastics Team and was an All Conference Tailback and Strong Safety on the football team.
Dave Hamilton Dave Hamilton joined the Dekan Advisory Board in November 2008. As a former gymnast, wrestler and football player, Dave spent much of his early life using equipment provided by the Dekan Athletic Equipment Corporation. Dave began his career in sales more than 15 years ago, and has built a reputation with clients in various industries for delivering excellent service at a fair price. Starting out in Telecommunications Sales, Dave's ability to learn quickly and focus on the needs of his clients earned him several Presidents Club Awards and promotion to Sales Management. Dave earned a bachelors degree from the University of Illinois in Champaign and later an MBA from the University of Illinois at Chicago.
Marc “Woody” Woodcock
Woody is an Exercise Specialist/Personal Trainer (running fitness/golf instruction) at the HealthTrack Sports Wellness Center in Glen Ellyn, Illinois. He joined the Dekan Advisory Board in November 2008. Prior to this, he served as a High School Teacher, owned and operated a Fitness and Golf Instruction Center, and served as a Head Golf Professional.
Woody was a three-sport athlete in High School. He played Tennis, Ice Hockey and Golf. He was a 4-year All-Star/MVP in Ice Hockey and a State Junior College Golf Champion. He earned a Golf Scholarship to Northern Illinois University. Woody has completed 12 national and internationally known marathons and belongs to the ‘sub 3-hour club’. He also belongs to the ‘sub 5 minute mile at age 40’ group.
Woody is a graduate of Northern Illinois University and holds the following Certifications:
- American Council of Exercise (ACE) – Personal Trainer
- H.A.D.D. Certified – Heart rate training for running/fitness
- Professional Golfers Association – PGA Member since 1993
- American Heart Association – CPR – Adult/Child/Infant
Steve Thompson, CPA
Steve joined the Dekan Advisory Board in November of 2008. Steve has been a CPA for more than 25 years and has had his own practice in Addison, Illinois for the last 17 years. Before starting his own firm Steve worked for a Savings & Loan as both an accountant and loan service manager. He worked for a mid-size local CPA firm until leaving them to join a conglomerate of companies in the travel and professional sports industries. He left them in 1991 to start his own firm retaining the previous employer as his biggest client. Steve has played in a Men’s’ Senior Baseball league for the last 20 years as well as enjoying golf when time allows. He has 4 children ranging in ages from 8 to 27, all with the same wife of 30 years.
Michael Casula
Mike joined the Dekan Advisory Board in November 2008. Mike is a management consultant who has been working with Fortune 500 companies and Private Equity Firms for the past 10 years.
Mike earned his under graduate degree in Economics at the University of Iowa, and he is a graduate of the Kellogg Management Institute at Northwestern University in Evanston, Illinois. Mike is a runner, tri-athlete, and former football player on the 1982 University of Iowa Rose Bowl Team.
Marie O’Brien
Marie O'Brien joined the Dekan Advisory Board in November 2008. Marie is a marketing and communications specialist and formerly a news anchor for Chicago area radio stations. Marie’s early career included public relations and advertising for a large Milwaukee hospital and a public relations firm in Minneapolis, Minnesota.
Marie is a graduate of the University of Iowa where she majored in communications and marketing. Marie is a marathoner and recently completed the Big Sur Marathon in Northern California. Marie also ran track and field at Glenbard West high school in Glen Ellyn, Illinois.
